Family Trips

Part of the joy of being a Backyard Traveller in New Zealand has been showing our two crazy kids the ropes and the amazing things that surround them. We have travelled with our kids across the seas and exposed them to many different cultures. But the excitement of exploring New Zealand with them is real. We keep it real, we aren't in for expensive hotels and excursions. We will search out the quirky and unusual places to stay. The amazing natural places to be explored and throw in some adventure for good measure. We bike, hike, raft, swim, kayak and eat our way around. We hope to inspire others to pack the car and get out and about with the kids in New Zealand.
